Gabbie,
Good luck and thanks for reading!

terri,
The world's a small place. While working away one time I met a guy who grew up right next to my grandpa on my dad's side. He told me tons of stories I would never had heard. I like to think there are hard working folks out there, but like you I rarely bump into them. On the other hand the cheats and scam artists seem to have no trouble finding me! Thanks for reading, hope you enjoy!

I just read the most recent two installments...I might try to read more later. I find it interesting that you write so clearly without hinderance of the farm. I think that if I learn one thing about bloggingg forum, it is that there are plenty of hard working, intelligent people raising their families to the best of their abilities across the US and that we rarely bump into each other because we are consumed by our lives and the surrounding activities. I'm going to bookmark your page and hopefully read again soon and more....I have a male ex named BJ and he has a daughter named Madison...funny huh?!

Well Joel I am about to purchase my own home with enough property for my dogs and horses! This will be the first home I have owned on my own - but I can do that here in Southeast Georgia!
Good luck out there.

A positive attitude is a must. You have no idea how many times I have said "why do I do this?". Seems something always happens to show me exactly why I am doing this not long thereafter. Brooke good luck in Tennessee, I'm sure you'll like it.

You are right Joel! Good luck to Brooke! I had a ranch in White City, Oregon! It is always hard work and I hope you do well at it. Joel, keep up the hard work and positive attitude!

Well we can always use help!
I ran acros a very interesting and true quote today:
"Only he can understand what a farm is who shall have sacrificed part of himself to his farm...fought to save it...struggled to make it beautiful. Only then will the love of the farm fill his heart."
                          Antoine de Saint-Exupery

Looks like it will work for me. I'm using my goats to clear what will eventually be about a 12 acre pasture. Right now it's a clearcut basically.
